As part of the Parallel team, I took the lead in developing the concept for “Kyle Fair: A TEX-TRAVAGANZA,” a larger-than-life event for the City of Kyle offering a “Small Town Vibe. Big City Fun.”
Big things are happening in Kyle. Located just outside of Austin, Kyle has a lot going on. In fact, Kyle’s got it ALL! To honor the city’s inclusive culture and heritage, we created an event that would highlight all things Texas — fajitas and ‘ritas, barbeque and bolo ties, and so much more.
Relatable, down-to-earth humor drives the content. A bright color palette brings to mind cotton candy and carnival rides. Quirky Texas imagery invokes familiar southern charm and also captivates the imagination. A large, historical installation tells the story of Sonny Falcon’s fajitas.
The fair that has everything needed an expansive creative campaign to bring it to life, and I was thrilled to dive into this concept for the City of Kyle! Get your tickets to the inaugural event… And sure, it will be hotter than you-know-what, and you’ll spend all your money to win that big bear, and your feet will hurt like hell the next day, but it will be worth it, because even the small things are bigger in Texas, and holy cow *deep breath* Kyle’s got it all.
