“What kind of art do you like to create?”
From time to time, I like to collect and create artwork from found paper — magazines, envelopes, scrapbooking paper that’s been long-abandoned by former scrapbookers… If it’s paper and has a cool texture, color, or pattern, it’s perfect for collaging.
“Do you need magazines? I have a collection I could donate!”
Nope! Thank you for offering, though. This hobby has led to a hefty collection of paper samples that’s only somewhat contained. I’m trying to keep it tamed, in the pursuit of living a more minimalist lifestyle.
“How do you organize all that paper?”
Well, um, barely. Organization is a strength/hobby of mine, so I created a color-coded system for my scraps. Each (overflowing) ziploc bag is carefully stored (in an upright position) inside a silver makeup case my grandmother gave me.
